I Have Received A Prescription For Aggrenox To Prevent Strokes.

I have received a prescription for Aggrenox to prevent strokes. A number of white patches were seen on a MRI of my brain as well as an hemangioma about 1.5 cm. My blood pressure registers on the 120/70 range except when I am in the doctors office where the systolic sometimes goes up to 140. This neurologist say I had a slight stroke based on decreased strength on my right side. I also tend to bruise easily and wonder about the safety of this med. The Aggrenox is very expensive ($300.00 for a one month supply and I know if I used Persantine and Aspirin it would be much cheaper. What is your opinion?
