I have received samples of a new natural sleep aid called Relaxium Sleep, but before trying it I want to make sure it is safe, including the ingredients in it. I looked up L-Tryptophan, that is one of the prime ingredients, and read about a serious potential side effect involving joint pain & other symptoms, but they then said that a high percentage of cases were traced to a single manufacturer of the single-ingredient supplement that was manufactured in Japan. Does that mean this is no longer considered a high risk if manufactured in the U.S. or other places? I am a 73 year-old female with health issues of hypothyroidism, high blood pressure, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, lymphedema (vascular insufficiency in the lower legs), and loss of bladder control in addition to sleep problems. I take a number of prescriptions and OTC supplements that target these issues and general health. Is there anything in this sample product that should concern me or stop me from trying it?
