I Have Recently Been Diagnosed With SVT After Wearing A

I have recently been diagnosed with SVT after wearing a halter monitor for 2 weeks. I was told the SVT that I had my rate was in the 140s and that I was symptomatic with it (palpitations because I hit the button on my cardionet). I am not on metoprolol 25mg BID and have head several episodes even on the medication. The ironic thing is that I seem to be having quadruple the episodes now that I know I have SVT. My heart rate goes up to 170 with these attacks. I've been keeping a log and noticed that I get these attacks what seems like after eating sugar, or lemons and also not drinking enough water. Is it possible that these could trigger an attack? My second question is that if the metoprolol doesn't seem to be helping will I have any luck with other medications like dig, atenolol, cardizem? Or does it look like an ablation is in the future?

Thank you!
