I Have Recently Been Diagnosed With Benign Fibrous Dysplasia. It

I have recently been diagnosed with benign fibrous dysplasia. It is in my sternum (which was fractured following a seemingly innocuous trip) and I have an appointment with thoracic specialist - waiting for date.
Can you advise. Sternum on its own very rare. Am I rare or is it more likely other bones will be involved as well? Should I have be having mammograms which, to date, I have refused because I don't fancy having my breasts squeezed between metal plates.
