I Have Recently Been Having Problems With My Left Calf

I have recently been having problems with my left calf and ankle swelling. I'm not on my feet at all during the day and if I am its not for long periods of time. I haven't injured it. I also nust recently started noticing indentation in my calf. It was so bad that it freaked out my fiance because it was so deep. What causes that?
