I Have Recently Developed A Very Sharp Pain On The

I have recently developed a very sharp pain on the left side of my back, just below my rib cage. What could this be? I don't recall straining to lift something too heavy. The pain just started suddenly and sometimes even feels like I can sense it all the way around to the front of my abdomen on the left side.
