I Have Recently Had A Bad Sinus Infection And Was

I have recently had a bad sinus infection and was put on prednisone. My tongue has a light white appearance and the roof of my mouth is broken out. Could the prednisone have caused it. It has a sort of burning sensation near the back especially on the sides.
I have regular dental checkups and am due one next week.
