I Have Recently Suddenly Developed Painful Stiff Red Swollen Joints

I have recently suddenly developed painful stiff red swollen joints to the point I struggle to walk.I had a rash but it subsided.I saw the doctor this morning who said my temperature was 37.4 and my lymph nodes in my neck where raised
I'm 33.He said it was viral but I'm not sure
