I Have Recently Worn A Holter Monitor For 24 Hours

I have recently worn a holter monitor for 24 hours and the results came back showing a couple of periods during sleep where my heart stops for 3 seconds. My cardiologist couldn't explain why and was reluctant to go down the pacemaker route and opted to see me again in 12 months time. I was initially happy with this and relieved but this has since turned to worry. 12 months seems a long time to do nothing and I am struggling to simply ignore it and carry on with my life.
