I have recurrent UTIs and looking for natural treatment alternatives.
Antibiotics in the past have failed to treat my UTIs or have re-occurred within 6 months. I am waiting for my appointment and looking for second opinion for use of natural remedies instead combined with homeopathics.
I have lab results from this week showing abnormal levels of appearance, occult blood, leukocyte esterase, wbc, rbc, squamous epithelial cells, bacteria. The urine culture shows greater than 100,000 cfu/ml of proteus mirabilis. I have mild symptoms only (burning with first urine in the morning) and some mild lower-mid back pain. No fever or any other symptoms.
Just Started taking Enchinacea and Goldenseal drops, Uva ursi, Biofilm Defense and Vitamins A, C, E in addition to cranberry pills. I read everything a layman can understand about proteus mirabilis, but am not a doctor. Looking for an MD with an open mind to natural therapy.
I have good hygene and take showers twice a day.
