I Have Red, Splotchy Spots On Various Parts Of My

I have red, splotchy spots on various parts of my body. A little scaling, but nothing serious. No itching or pain at all. This has come and gone in severity for like 8 years. Any ideas how to treat it? A skin lotion relieves the scaling but does not reduce the redness.
