I Have Regular Sensation Of Falling With Full Color Vision

I have regular sensation of falling with full color vision of a familiar place while awake, I can not control this and it is becoming more frequent. It also happens when I try to fall asleep but I can stop it by imagining I am somewhere flat, I usually think of a shore line,/ beach. What is happening please? Thank you
