I Have Screws And Plates In My Elbow And Recently

I have screws and plates in my elbow and recently developed bursitis. The tip of my elbow is now leaking the clear fluid out of tiny holes. The ortho surgeon said he can see me asap with a referral from my preferred provider, but she's booked for two weeks. What do I do in the meantime? I am concerned of getting an infection in the joint.
