I Have Sever COPD; And Had A Resection Of My

I have sever COPD; and had a resection of my right upper lope, it wasn't cancer though, 14 years ago. I just had a Cat Skan and in the findings says I have scarring and elevation of the right hemidiaphragm. This wasn't the case 8 months ago when I previous Cat Skan.
Could my difficulties in breathing and my loss of volume I'm my lungs be the cause of this new finding?
