I Have Severe Acid Reflux And Am On 80 Mg

I have severe acid reflux and am on 80 mg of Protonix and also taking Mylanta. I took the Protonix this morning and was never told to wait until I took the Mylanta. Am I supposed to wait at least an hour to take the Mylanta after the Protonix? Does the Mylanta keep the Protonix from absorbing into my system? So tonight after taking the Mylanta I am still having severe gastro issues. Would it be harmful to take some antacids so I am rest tonight? Thanks!
