I Have Severe Cough, No Sputum Production. If A Cough

I have severe cough, no sputum production. If a cough starts, it is a bout of cough and I almost feel short of breath. I am 39, not yet menopausal. Just few days, I have started noticing slight vaginal bleeding. I am not yet due for my periods. Could this cough be causing this slight vaginal bleed? The bleed is fresh blood color.
