I Have Severe Right Groin Pain Constantly. How Do I

I have severe right groin pain constantly. How do I get relief. It is also causing me to be off balance frequently. My husband was in a nursing home for six months and I did push him from his room or TV room to the dining room and back. He did weigh about 210 pounds, but went down to 170 (passed away on 1-18-2016) Is heat or cold better to help heal this?
