I Have Sharp Pain In The Bottom Of My Foot

I have sharp pain in the bottom of my foot when I walk, mostly after I have been sitting or sleeping. Also noticed after about a week of this pain that there is a large bruise looking spot on the top of the same foot, but I have not done anything to cause a bruise.
