I Have Shingles On My Face My Forehead. I Am

I have shingles on my face my forehead. I am a diabetic. They gave me a prescription. After taking it for the first day my left side of my face excpecially my eye is swollen. I went back the doctor said it was fine. It was just the shingles. I didn't take a pill my face was clearing up. Now that I took another pill my eye is almost swollen shut. Is that normal.
