I Have Some Mucus In Between My Throat And Mouth

I have some mucus in between my throat and mouth that feels like a snot ball stuck in throat. It will not pass out of my nose or even my throat. It bothers be as I swallow and when I breathe in or out I feel it move. But I can not get it out at all. It driving me insane I can't sleep at night with this constant mucus stuck in my throat. Then if I leave it alone I get like a dry spot in my throat that really bothers me. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions
