I Have Started Having Knee Pain After My Dog Yanked

I have started having knee pain after my dog yanked me and I fell in the yard. It is above the knee cap and will radiate to the inside of my knee. I am struggling with bearing weight on it going up or down stairs. If I am walking it is ok. If I stand for long periods of time without moving it feels like a toothache. I am wondering if I should go in, try wearing a knee brace, or ice it. It does not look swollen,
