I Have Started Having Pain In The Thumb Area Of

I have started having pain in the thumb area of my hand and down into the fatty part. That is my right hand. My left hand is having numbness on the finger tips. I have some joint pain, but this other is different from that. I can start to pick up something or open a lid and the right thumb is very painful. What do you think?
