I Have Stopped Taking Lyrica Because I Cannot Afford The

I have stopped taking Lyrica because I cannot afford the cost of my med. my co-pay is $167.00 a month. I am retired now and am on SS and Medicare. If I were to continue for a full year it will cost me more than I am receiving on SS. I am also taking another med. Cymbalta for the shooting pains in my back (from back surgery) and down both my legs. I asked my MD if he would prescribe a medicine that was less expensive and would help me. He prescribed Gabapentin 600 Mgs x2 (I was taking Lyrica 75 mg x2). It really doesn't seem to do as good a job as the Lyrica. Is there another medicine that I can ask my MD about?

Thank you,
Beth K.
