I Have Swelling Right Around The Area Of My Cricoid

I have swelling right around the area of my cricoid cartilage, ear pain/pressure and headaches for the last 4 months. The swelling comes and goes everyday, but when it's there, that is when the ear pain/pressure starts. I also have ringing in my left ears for the past 6 years, the swelling in my throat and ear pain/pressure also makes the ringing louder. What could be causing this?
