I Have Swollen Knots & Formations On The Left Side

I have swollen knots & formations on the left side of spine from mid back all the way up the left side of my spine out to left shoulder and up into left side of head. The muscles sieze so badly, it runs pain all the way down left arm to my hand and 3 of my fingers, also when at it's worse causes extreme pain in left side of head as well. This is a recurring problem getting worse, happening more frequently, becoming more severe and lasting longer. Any ideas?
