I Have Taken 40mg Nexium For Almost A Year. It's

I have taken 40mg Nexium for almost a year. It's seems to have stopped working. Cannot get in to see my GI doc till I come back from vacation scheduled next week. I've been fatigued as well. My PCP who I saw last week prescribed Bentyl, but I have no diarrhea/ lower GI issues. I've have felt shaky and have had blurred vision since taking the Bentyl...is this normal?
Could I take Zantac in addition to the nexium?
