I Have Taken Atavan 0.5 Mg/day, At Bedtime, For Six

I have taken Atavan 0.5 mg/day, at bedtime, for six weeks. I also take Lunesta 2mg.
I stopped Atavan 10 days ago, my doctor said to skip the 0.5 dose every other day,for 3 days, and then stop. I did that, but I had tachycardia, increased BP, insomnia, nausea, abdominal discomfort. I then reduced the dose ti 1/4 mg. for week, and the decreased to 1/8 mg. for another week.
I still have the side effects. How do I get off Atarax now?
