I have taken CT scan of PNS after consulting an ENT specialist and below are the impressions. Whether surgery will remove all of my problems or homeopathy medications or general medication prescribed by doctor will help in resolving these issues.
CT SCAN OF PARANASAL SINUSES
Technique:
MDCT scan of paranasal sinuses was performed on Light Speed VCT 16 slice MDCT
scanner using 0.625mm detector collimation MPRs at 2mm intervals were
performed in axial, coronal and sagittal planes using high resolution Algorithm.
Findings:
DNS with septal spur to right side.
Left inferior turbinate hypertrophy.
Mucosal thickening in bilateral maxillary, right frontal and left anterior ethmoidal air
cells - Sinusitis.
Bilateral obliteration of OMU.
Styloid process on both sides are normal (right - 29mmz left - 25mm).
Bilateral temporo-mandibular joints are normal.
Uncinate processes and nasal mucosa are normal.
Rest of Paranasal sinuses are normal.
Ethmoid infundibulae, hiatus semilunaris, frontal recess and sphenoid recess on
both sides are normal.
No Haller cells / Ethmoid bullae / Agar nasi cells.
Cribriform plates and Olfactory grooves are normal.
Type II Kero's.
Type I optic nerve roots.
IMPRESSION:
DNS with septal spur to right side.
Left inferior turbinate hypertrophy.
