I have teeth that are falling apart and infected. I'm on day 7 of 10 day course of antibiotic augmentin, each pill 875 mg, 1 pill every 12 hours. I developed bronchitis a few days ago. I have COPD. I take singulair and symbicort inhaler. Yesterday I started taking prednisone, 60 mg for 3 days, 40 mg for 3 days, 20 mg for 3 days, to help my lungs heal. I stopped taking singulair per my doctor's advice. Will the steroid interfere with my oral infections healing? I am trying to find oral surgeon that works on sliding scale, as I am poor and my state, Delaware, doesn't cover dental work for Medicaid patients. I still have infections in my mouth. In December I took clyndimiacin for 10 days, 300 mg every 6 hours. When I stopped, the pain returned. Can you advise me on taking prednisone while I have oral infections? My name is Wendy.
