I Have Tender Breasts And What Appears To Be Montgomery

I have tender breasts and what appears to be Montgomery tubercles. Does this occur with premenopause, menopause or fluid retention? I am almost 51 and I had an ablation so I haven't had a period for a few years. I have no hot flashes at this point. Recently I was retaining a lot of water and my breasts were very engorged and that's when the tubercles started to appear.
