I Have Thick Mucus In Top Of My Mouth And

I have thick mucus in top of my mouth and throat, some paid behind my left ear, head feels hallow and can sometimes feel throbbing. I am getting sweating periods (like hot flashes) but I am 82 years old. I have tried Zrytek and flonause and have found no relief, thinking it might be allergies.
