I Have Thrown Up A Few Times In The Past

I have thrown up a few times in the past few weeks from a stomach virus. It stopped as of last week but I am still having stomach discomfort and nausea and am having trouble eating in fear I will throw up again. At night I notice I get very anxious and my stomach pains get stronger making it hard to sleep. I have had a doctor appointment where I was told it was just gastritis but it hasn't gone away since and I am worried it is something worse. Thank you so much for your help,
