I Have Thrush Of The Mouth And Throat. My ENT

I have thrush of the mouth and throat. My ENT presribed me a small supply of predisone for my throat swelling in case it gets out of control. I've read that its a bad thing to take with a yeast infection. However, if my throat gets that bad, is it worth just taking one to stop swelling? Its been quite swollen today and I'm a little worried.
