I Have Torn Ligaments. I Am A 61 Yr Old

I have torn ligaments. I am a 61 yr old woman of average size (130) I hurt my leg in a fall on a sidewalk where one knee hit the ground and apparently I twisted my other knee. My question is: This happened 6 days ago and it hurts more now!! When can I expect some relief from the pain? I have been icing, have a compress on it and am sitting with it up for two days now.
