I Have Type 2 Diabetes. I Have Vaginal Discharge And

I have type 2 diabetes. I have vaginal discharge and my doctor gave me metronidazole for seven days as well as rephresh vaginal gel. She said that my ph balance was off balance. I've taken the medicine and I still have the discharge. It's not as bad but it hasn't stopped. My A1C has been elevated. Can the two be related?
