I Have Type 2 Diabetes And Last Night My Blood

I have type 2 diabetes and last night my blood sugar dropped to 65. This is the first time I could feel my heart beating hard...it scared me and am worried it might have been damaged. This doesn't happen often - I do take good care of myself and hopefully by year end I can stop being diabetic. I quit my high stress job and am walking a mile a day and dropping weight. I'm 60 years and female. Thank you for your help!
