I Have Upper Stomach Pain That Won't Go Away. I

I have upper stomach pain that won't go away. I just came back from the ER and the doctors mainly focused on my heart as I am 67 years old and have family history of heart problems. They did a blood work up and X-ray - all normal. They gave me Maalox and sent me on my way. I am still in a lot of pain. A colleague suggested that I have my gall bladder checked. Not sure where to go from here. Can you make any suggestions. Bowel movements normal.
