I Have Used One Opiate Pr Another Since My Discharge

I have used one opiate pr another since my discharge from the Marines in 1969.In the past 15yrs or so I was a patient at a pain tteatment center in Atlanta.I was under their care for approx 13yrs.During that time I lost my job due tp the Company pulling out of Atlanta in 2010.With it went my insurance.During this time my wife was ill with COPD and complications of Asthma. I went to the VA for help initially and was on 60mg of Methadone for several yrs. My wife passed away in 2013.She was of course on disability & I was her caregiver during that time.I shared a marijuans cig with a ftiend one weekend not thinking & turned in the dirty test.VA decided to detox me & rather quickly. I dropped ftom 60,to 50, but then was dropped from 50 to 20mg & onward until I decided to ditch the VA.Since then I've been fending for myself. I'll be 70yrs old this February. My question is basicaly would my SSI cover treatment from a qualified Dr. I've been reading about buprenorphine,a friend in Oregon suggested it as the lesser of the evils.I receive around 1275.oo per mo on SSI& have part A&B.I'm on a merry go round for the most part, and live by myself in the same house for last 30yrs. I get by as I always have, but I feel like it's beginning to wear me down.I've had some kind of depressive days now and then, but I feel like something needs to give.I've never been very good at asking for a favor, or help, because of the red tape, and stigmas attatched.
