I Have Used Tea Tree Oil For Several Years To

I have used tea tree oil for several years to get rid of toe nail fungus on both big toes. Lately I have noticed both legs ache when I'm in bed occasionally. Could this be a side effect of the tea tree oil? I apply it in the am and before I go to bed. It seems to be helping but is taking a very long time because my toe nails grow extremely slow.
