I Have Varicose Veins In My Right Leg. About Three

I have varicose veins in my right leg. About three weeks ago, I hit them very hard while working. Subsequently, I started to get blood clots in the area on the inner side of the calf in the greater saphenous vein. After about a week, the clots started working their way up the vein past the knee. I went to the doctor and they performed an ultrasound which showed none of the deep veins in the leg were affected. The recommendation at that time was warm compresses, ibuprofen, aspirin and leg elevation. None of those things helped. The clots continued steadily up the leg to mid thigh. Since then I have a new clot forming in the groin area near where the saphenous vein intersects with the femoral vein. Two days ago, after another visit to the doctor, I was placed on a regimen of Xarelto, 15 MG twice a day. How long should it take to see some response? Also, should I have another ultra sound to determine if I now have clots in the femoral vein risking DVT? I have been experiencing a queezy stomache since starting Xarelto. Could this be due to the medicine? I have another appointment in five days. Should I go sooner?
