I Have Very Bad Pain Behind My Knee. Hurts Terribly

I have very bad pain behind my knee. Hurts terribly to walk, hurts worse when I sit then get up after a bit. Very painful to walk, have to hold on to things. Went to physical therapy and he has me doing stretches. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have
