I Have Very Poor Circulation In My Left Arm And

I have very poor circulation in my left arm and leg and my foot on the left side stays swollen. I had a mild stroke two years ago and I also have type 2 diabetes, my doctor tells me that it's due to my stroke but it's getting harder for me to walk due to the tightness in my foot and pain. Can you tell me what two possibilities could be.
