I Have What Appears To Be A Bruise On The

I have what appears to be a bruise on the top of my foot between my toes and front of ankle. It started yesterday about the size of a quarter, and was brown-red. It is not painful at all and not raised. It is a little larger today but not much. It looks like there is a tiny dot on the left side of it. I am wondering if it is an insect bite. I never felt pain or noticed anything sting me. 57 yr old female in good health.
