I Have Woken Up This Morning With A Painful Big

I have woken up this morning with a painful big toe on my right foot. The pain is coming from the joint at the ball of my foot and banding the toe/walking is very painful. It is also painful at rest. I believe i have slept funny with my toe bent against the bed frame, but am worried it could be something else. It has happened before on both this toe and my other big toe, however it is much worse today than ever before. Please help
