I Have Worked In A Garage With The Floor Covered

I have worked in a garage with the floor covered with carpet for 15 years. i have of late developed some severe asthma symptoms, and they seem to get better when I leave the site. Last week I got rid of the carpet (which was de-laminating i believe) and cleaned the concrete floor, but am still having problems. the next step is to seal the concrete. do you think the concrete could be the source of my problems?
