I Haven't Been Able To Use Bar Soap Since I

I haven't been able to use bar soap since I was 16. My skin will react with varying degrees of issues, ranging from mild irritation to hives. I have no problems with liquid soaps though. The gentleman at the specialty soap store suggested it might be the sodium hydroxide used in bar soap that I'm allergic to.
