I Haven't Been Sexually Active For 2 Months Since Me

I haven't been sexually active for 2 months since me and my boyfriend broke up. This week I thought I had a yeast infection, I thought could be due to bath salts, oils , tights etc...I noticed what seems to be a small tear on my outer labia, I am worried it could be a sore but there is only one, red , doesn't appear to have fluid in it. My question is could this be herpes? I have never had cold sores, also entire time with boyfriend, 6 months nothing except mild vagnitius , I am 53, having issues with thin skin, and did have issues with discomfort due to menopause. Still, Can you get herpes that long after sex, and can it be only one tiny sore?
