I Hit My Head At Work Yesterday And It Bled

I hit my head at work yesterday and it bled for a good 20 minutes before it started subsiding. There is a mump now a small cut, and I am light headed and dizzy. What do you think this is, and is it serious? I don't want to go see a doctor if I don't have to.
