I Hit My Head By Accidentally Yesterday Against A Metal

I hit my head by accidentally yesterday against a metal headboard of a home hospital bed. My head has hurt/throbbed in various degrees since then. It is primarily on the right side but I was beginning to explore for an explanation. I just don't want to wait and be too late for what might be happening. I have a history of not paying attention to warning signs and not taking action when appropriate.
