I Hope You Can Help Me This Past Saturday I

I hope you can help me this past Saturday I was doing yard work, planting flowers and while I was doing this I don't know if I stretched to far turned the wrong way or what but all of a sudden I literally heard this very loud popping noise and my left side started to hurt and it is very tender to touch and when this happen for just a short time maybe a few seconds I couldn't catch my breath and now I have a difficult time sleeping on my left side, now I was told it is possible that I bruised or cracked a floating rib but I just don't see how and now my daughter and husband are forcing me to go to the dr's which I really don't want to do unless I really have to so can you help me, I can breath fine now it is still a little tender
